We’ve been talking about having a chance for men to get together, have breakfast, talk, and connect with God and one another. We also wanted to have it in a place that we could focus on hanging out and trusting that the food would be good and offer choices for various palates. We settled on the Silver Diner in Springfield. If you are interested, email James so he can reserve a table large enough for our group. The gathering will be on Saturday, June 24 at 7:00AM. Men, you won’t miss this chance to connect!
I recently had lunch with two of our Saint Jamesians ,Josh and LeeAnn; our conversation revolved around forming/building a group that would be for younger adults (late teens and twenty-somethings). They expressed hopes that this group might be involved in the community, making a difference for people around us, and also help them study/grow/express themselves about the spiritual journey each of them was on.
With that in mind, we will gather for dessert and conversation on Tuesday, June 20 at 8:00PM in the Mission House right next to our Worship Building.
This will be our second week at our new place, 5200 Fillmore Avenue on the West End of Alexandria. Did you miss our preview? You can come and see it this week- we’d love to see you!
