McKenna's Wagon- Everyone is invited on the first Sunday of every month to make sandwiches for homeless persons beginning at 9:00am. These sandwiches are then delivered to McKenna's Wagon at Martha's Table for distribution to homeless persons throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Help us put food in the hands of the hungry!

Prayer Team- This group receives regular requests from people in our community to pray for specific requests. Anyone who feels called to pray can be part of this team. Prayer requests may be sent to the Prayer Team. Interest in being part of the team may be expressed to Linda Patterson.

Discovering Jesus Seminar- Anyone interested may participate in a four week experience in which we discuss, wonder, and look at various media to seek to understand for ourselves who Jesus is. This seminar is offered regularly by Pastor James. Email him at james@sjumc.net

Wednesday Small Group- A long-term small group which welcomes anyone interested in being part of their study and fun together on Wednesday nights. They meet in a home in Alexandria. Contact the small group leader, Danielle Roeber, for details.

Women's Support Group- This group of women gathers weekly to listen to and support one another. Any woman is welcome to attend this group which currently meets on Friday evenings in the Saint James Worship Center at 7:30PM. Contact Marge Webb or Randi Mack for additional information.

FOG (Friends Of God) Youth Group- This group meets regularly for fun and mission outreach in the community at the Saint James-Alexandria facility. Amy Mertzeis and Beth Morrill are the adult leaders of this group.

Al-Anon- While Al-Anon is associated with no particular religious organization and is therefore not an official "ministry" of Saint James, we are delighted to provide space for an open Tuesday night meeting in the Saint James-Alexandria facility, from 7:30 to 8:30PM.

ALIVE- ALIVE (ALexandrians InVolved Ecumenically) is an organization composed of 40 congregations serving over 10,000 needy Alexandrians every year. Saint James participates by collecting food and money for this organization regularly as well as collecting for ALIVE House, a ministry of ALIVE for women and children in transition.

LCAC- LCAC (Lorton Community Action Center) is an organization dedicated to reaching out to people in need in the Lorton, Virginia area. Saint James has partnered with LCAC by donating Thanksgiving Baskets, adopting children for Christmas, and collecting backpacks for children going back to school. Additionally, using our pastor's discretionary fund, we sponsored a girl through LCAC who went to summer camp at Highroad Christian Summer Camp.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt- A fun adventure of finding eggs and learning about the Easter story of God's love in Jesus. For children in our community. Contact Karen Curtin or Randi Mack (703)914-1106.
