6/24 Worship- Be: Poor in Spirit

Jesus talked about and demonstrated attitudes and choices. In turn we emulate these in our daily lives. For example, in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), we find the largest collection of his teachings. Almost immediately upon beginning this “sermon,” Jesus outlines a number of attitudes, the Be-attitudes, for us to live out. And Jesus says, “Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” What does this attitude look like for us today?
