John's gospel does not have a traditional Christmas birth story (neither does Mark's gospel). Here is how John's gospel summarizes it in John 1:14:
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.
The whole opening of John, which we call the Prologue, seems to one the focus wider, to the Great Mysteries of our Universe. What good news will we find in this story on Christmas morning? Join us at 11AM Eastern on Sunday, Christmas Day, for a "bigger picture" look at our faith as coming to us in the celebration of Christmas.
