Preparing for the West End Food Pantry

In 5 weeks the West End Food Pantry will begin serving families in need in our community. Saint James has several things we need to do to get ready. We are purchasing a shed to hold the lawn equipment. Here’s how YOU can help out: (1) Donate above your extra giving to cover the cost of the shed. We need to raise $1,700. Raised to date: $825! (2) Pray for this ministry. Saint James will begin taking one Monday each month (5-6:30pm) to run the pantry. We will need 5 folks to help with the pantry and two leads. Please pray for this ministry and if there is a way you can be a part of the team. (3) Volunteer: Commit to being a part of the 1st Monday of the month pantry team — November 5th from 4:45pm to 6;45pm. Saint James is also looking to help with occasional food pickups for the pantry. Panera at INOVA, Mondays before 6am –pickup and deliver to the Mission House. ALIVE produce pickups on Monday at 9:15am Neither pickup is weekly — our friends at Resurrection need some help.
