Stopping for a drink

Jesus and the disciples are on the way back to Galilee. On any long road trip, it may be necessary to stop and get something to eat and drink. They stop in Sychar which happens to be a Samaritan territory. Jesus sits at the well and the disciples head into town to get some food. It’s midday and Jesus asks for some water from a woman who has come to the well herself. What a wonderful setting for us to learn from the master!
