The Basics: Devoted to the Teachings

When we come right down to it, some of what we “practice” in living our faiths are add-ons. That is not to say the practices are not important or even not good; it is more that we could use a refresher every once in awhile to remind us of what the early followers of Jesus thought was of core importance in the aftermath of the crucifixion and resurrection. This week we begin a four-part series, The Basics, where we will focus on what the early church practiced. That may help us keep focused at Saint James and in our everyday living.
