Join us at the Mission House next Saturday August 12th starting at 9:30, where we will have VBS for the first time in a long time! The theme is Gadgets and Gizmos, all about knowing and understanding how unique we all are. If you are interested in attending or volunteering please e-mail Hannah at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Saint James is partnering with Wesley Housing to provide Elementary school children with school supplies for the fall. You can be involved in one of two ways: (1) donate $26 which will buy the supplies for one child–note B2S on your check or your donation online; (2) pick up the list in the lobby or download here and purchase the items and return them to Saint James. Checks and supplies need to be received by August 20th! Questions? Talk to Linda, Linda@sjumc.net. We will need helpers to drop off at Wesley Housing on Monday, August 21st.
The residents of Springdale House are eager to reconnect with their Saint James friends! We’re in the process of making ongoing plans and forming a team for a variety of activities. We have several dates (Saturday’s in August and early September) where we will help the residents clean up their common areas, do some yard work and then share dessert. Please sign up in the lobby or talk to Ann Patterson if interested, email@example.com).
Saturday is Rebuilding Together Alexandria! Saint James has fielded a team of 17 to help Mrs. G remain in her home. Please pray for our team! We are still in need of $150 to round out our total team cost of $2,500. If you can help out, mark your check mission, or give online here.
Get ready and excited for our Easter Saturday activities! There will be a bounce house, crafts, snack, egg hunt and a bible story.
